President of Inatsisartut

The President of Inatsisartut, the Parliament of Greenland, is Mimi Karlsen, Inuit Ataqatigiit.

The President of Inatsisartut discharges the duties of the Presidium as a full-time position. Concurrently with the Presidium of Inatsisartut, the President discharges a large number of duties of office to ensure the expedience of the working conditions for the Parliament of Greenland and its Members, and the interactions between the Parliament and the Government of Greenland.

The President's duties include

• acting as the public representative of Inatsisartut, the Parliament of Greenland
• presiding over the meetings of Parliament as the Speaker
• ensuring the proper organisation and conduct of Parliament and the works of its committees
